About the Event
Glynn County is plagued with four nationally designated and twelve state-designated hazardous waste sites. The Glynn Environmental Coalition works to involve the surrounding community and the vast number of visitors in the EPA cleanup decision-making processes. The Glynn Environmental Coalition, Georiga Interfaith Power & Light, and Temple Beth Tefilloh have partnered to host this virtual workshop which is designed to introduce individuals to the numerous steps involved in the cleanup process, provide an update on each site in Brunswick, and provide action items for folks to get involved with the process.
Participants will learn:
- What is a Superfund Site?
- What are the steps involved with cleaning up a Superfund Site?
- What are examples of Superfund Sites that are located in Georgia?
- What can I do to help?
Please RSVP to join us, we will send out the Zoom/Call-in information the week before the event.
Can't make it? RSVP anyway, and we will send you the recording of the event following the webinar.
**NOTE: 10:00 to around 10:45 is dedicated to study with Rabbi Rachael Bregman.
