About the Event
The State of Georgia is plagued with 16 nationally designated Superfund Sites whose cleanups are managed by the U.S. EPA. The Glynn Environmental Coalition, Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, and staff from the U.S. EPA Region 4 office have partnered to host this virtual workshop. Participants will learn:
- What is a Superfund Site?
- What are the steps involved with cleaning up a Superfund Site?
- What are examples of Superfund Sites that are located in Georgia?
- What can I do to help?
