About the Event
Join us for an inside look at what really happens to your recycling!
This field trip to the Republic Services recycling center offers a behind-the-scenes tour of how materials are sorted, processed, and prepared for reuse. Participants will learn what can and cannot be recycled, discover common recycling mistakes, and gain a deeper understanding of how everyday choices impact our environment. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, see the process in action, and become a more informed recycler.

Event Schedule
8:45 - 9 AM - Arrival and Welcome. The carpool will depart promptly at 9:05 AM. Please plan accordingly.
9 AM - 10 AM - Travel to the Republic Services Jacksonville Recycling Center
10 AM to 12:00 PM - Facility Tour
~12:15 PM - Depart for lunch (Lunch Location TBD)
~12:30 PM to 1:30 PM - Lunch at A Moveable Feast, 1178 Chapel Crossing Rd, Brunswick.
~1:30 PM to 2:30 PM - Travel back to Brunswick
*Actual times may vary; we anticipate returning to Brunswick no later than 3 PM.
