About the Event
On the Menu: Join us for a luncheon with Rachael Thompson, Executive Director of the Glynn Environmental Coalition, for an update on our coastal resilience work!
Since 2019, the Glynn Environmental Coalition has been working with community partners to build a more just, equitable, and climate-resilient Brunswick. Challenges presented by climate change disproportionately impact communities of color and low-wealth communities in the City of Brunswick and Glynn County, affecting the everyday lives of residents. The Golden Isles Coastal Resiliency Network was established to ensure that the community can put forward its vision of climate resiliency and how to attain it. It is a collaborative mechanism to elevate the community’s voice as an equal partner in climate change planning and implementation.
