About the Event
Participants are invited to walk or bike, dress festively, and show off their love for our planet and coastal Georiga's natural resources! Festiveware could include: dressing in blue and green; wearing your favorite animal, plant, or fungus species costume; reusing materials to make your own upcycled costume; or, making signs and banners to show love (or concern) for our environment. All individuals, groups, or businesses are welcome and participation is FREE, but registration is required.
Be sure to read all the event details below to be fully prepared on the day of the parade!
Starting Location: Queen Square East, 1300 Newcastle Street, Brunswick
Ending Location: 1609 Newcastle Street, Brunswick
Schedule of Events:
5:30 PM to 6:00 PM: Arrival and Parade Lineup - Guests should plan to arrive promptly at 5:30 PM to begin our parade lineup. We will have designated areas for groups to line up, parade order will be on a first come first serve basis. I.E. Whoever gets there first will be first in the lineup!
6:00 PM to 6:30 PM: Parade! - At 6:00 PM sharp, participants will being to march from Queen Street East to 1609 Newcastle Street (approximately 0.3 miles, or about a 10-minute walk).
We invite all participants to join us at the Historic Ritz Theatre following our parade for our Earth Day Film Screening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM!
