Our Activities, Causes & Campaigns

Community Organizing

We are committed to community organizing and education programs to help Glynn County residents and patrons to preserve and protect their environmental health. For example, such efforts led to the signs being reposted at the Brunswick Wood Preserving Superfund Site, and fences repaired to keep children and all terrain vehicles out.  Recently, monitoring wells were installed between the Site and residential wells.

GEC provides technical assistance and counseling to altthose
living around environmentally compromised areas
, such as the four Superfund Sites, and 19 hazardous waste sites as we recover from our toxic legacy. Recent reports.
