GEC 2006 ANNUAL MEETING

Meeting room at Golden Corral, off Spur 25 at Golden Isles Plaza

We began with filling our plates and enjoying each other's company while eating and eating and eating.........

President Bill Owens welcomed everyone. Rev. Jim Nelson prayed the blessing.

Robert Randall and Daniel Parshley presented Certificates of Appreciation to:
          Hoke & Pam Brannen for 3 years of service as GEC Treasurer
          Nancy Breland for special volunteer service
          Barbara Bowdry for completion of service as our Environmental Justice grant Treasurer
          James Holland, the Altamaha Riverkeeper, for exemplary partnership

Bill Owens then presented Daniel Parshley and his family with a special gift as thanks for his service and their sacrifices. They will get to see "An Inconvenient Truth" in Jacksonville.

We then elected and installed our 2006-2007 Officers and Board.


	This was followed by Eileen Hutcheson and Nancy Breland leading the meeting in playing Environmental Trivial Pursuit and Match the Environmentalist -- all for wonderful prizes donated by Feelin' Great, Beachview Books, SE GA Sierra Club, and the GEC -- followed by Environmental Final Jeopardy for the grand prize of an aerial tour of Glynn County's toxic sites, provided by our own Frank Lea. Congratulations to Charles Maley, winner of the aerial tour. Bill Owens adjourned the meeting at 8:30 PM.
