NOMINATING COMMITTEE LOOKING FOR OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2007-08
 

       It’s that time of the year when we start getting ready for our Annual Meeting in June.  That means, among other things, leadership development, since each June we elect a new slate of GEC officers and Board members.

       At its January meeting, your Board of Directors named Bill Owens, Paul Redding, and Paul Lynch to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee.  They are charged with finding the best people to serve on our Board and as President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

       Both Pauls recently attended a workshop on Board Governance, hosted by the Coastal GA Community College and the GA Center for Nonprofits, at which they learned how to identify and recruit Board members.
