Electronics Recycling a Success

The amount brought in for the June 3rd electronics recycling day exceeded expectations.  Cars, trucks, and an assortment of trailers stacked high with every sort of electronics you can imagine came at a pace of over one per minute.  Most bringing electronics never had to leave their car since volunteers from Keep Brunswick-Golden Isles Beautiful were waiting to unload, sort, and stack onto pallets.

The 255 recyclers brought around 80,000 pounds of electronics during the four hour event.  There was much more to be recycled that was not brought in, and another recycling day is in the planning.

   Once again, the citizens of Glynn County demonstrated their eagerness to recycle, if given the opportunity.
