The GEC received
recognition for bringing the environmental travesty at the
LCP Chemicals Superfund Site to light and a
$25,000 donation on December 11th. Our 17-year effort to obtain
environmental justice and community awareness helped achieve a $25 million
settlement for damages to 220 home and land owners and $25 million to Glynn
County.
The law firms of Bell and James donated $10,000; Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer,
LLP, $10,000; and Killian & Boyd, P.C., $5,000. The GEC appreciates the
financial support and acknowledgement of the GEC’s commitment to a clean
environment and a health economy for citizens of coastal Georgia.
